We all know about Elliptical bikes that provide a good form of low-impact exercise, but does a similar design exists for the stroller?
Fortunately for parents, there’s an Elliptical Stroller that has been invented by Pier Paolo Visconti.
The Elliptical Stroller has two parts:
- Baby carriage in the front
- Elliptical drive mechanism in the back, which folds up when not in use
The Elliptical Stroller can be used as a regular walk-behind stroller too.
The stroller has dual disc brakes which you can use to bring it to a stop.

As you can see, while in the “athletic mode”, users can propel the stroller just like an elliptical machine at the gym. The inventor says that the stroller can be used for pets too.
The inventor is currently looking for a manufacturing partner. The Elliptical Stroller may retail at a price around $1200.
If that’s too expensive, parents can also opt only for the elliptical drive mechanism that can be added to most existing strollers, which should hopefully sell for around $150.
Prefer skateboarding instead, check out the Quinny Longboard stroller.
