The Doona Liki Trike is an excellent stroller that also transforms into a trike as and when required, a product that will last for a few years as your little one grows.
The Doona infant car seat is a product that parents use when their kids are little (infants), but once your little one becomes a toddler you will require a different product, such as the Liki Trike S5 from Doona.
This is a toddler bike that can be used as a stroller and also as a trike allow your little one to pedal and enjoy a ride.
Folds flat
This stroller can be used as a trike and yet it folds flat into a compact size with the press of a button, and you can easily transport it in the bag that comes with it – easy to fit in the car trunk or the plane’s overhead compartment.
Suitable for kids aged 10 months to 3 years (44 pounds max). Weighs less than 15 pounds. Folds up into a compact size – just 12.5 by 23 by 9 inches.
Five-point harness keeps them secure, Wood handlebars, padded bar around the tummy, folding canopy, sun canopy with 50+ protection.
Various Modes
The Doona trike can be used in various modes which toddlers can enjoy as they grow older, and it even can be used as an independent toddler bike.
- >Parent mode: Use it for kids aged 10-18-month-olds. In this case, parents are in the driving seat, though your little one thinks they’re in charge. In this model, the pedals are locked. There’s a footrest, harness, protective bar, and a canopy, useful features found in a stroller to keep the little one secure.
- Push mode: To be used when the kids are 18-24-month-olds; you can remove the protective bar and canopy so that your little one feels they are riding a bike
- Tricycle mode: In this mode, you can remove the footrest and unlock the pedals so that your little obe learns how to pedal (but you keep the parent bar attached so you’re still in control)
- Bike mode: Remove the backrest and the parent bar, and let your little one enjoy their independent ride.
So when the child grows up to a toddler, you can give them more control. Let them actually pedal and steer the trike. Even though Doona calls it the “bike mode”, it’s technically a trike because of the three wheels).
And when your child is done for the day, the trike folds up into a compact size.
- Pros: Grows with the child, can be used as a trike, folds into a more compact size compared to a regular stroller.
- Cons: Has a small canopy, parent arm has to be removed before folding it.
Accessories
Doona also provides useful accessories for this product. The Liki Trike comes with a clip-on cup holder and a storage bag that clips onto the parent bar. The Deluxe version comes with wooden handlebars that feel nice under the hands.
You can also buy the Liki Travel Bag for easy storage.
So, overall a nice versatile product that your little one can use for a few years. The Liki Trike is sturdy and also more portable than most other strollers.
