If you own a stroller, you will have to deal with replacing the inner tube of the stroller wheel, sometime or the later. If you live in an area with lots of thorns, or take it on trails, the tires of your stroller can go flat.

But its not that difficult to replace / repair the inner tube of the stroller wheel.

For this installation/replacement, you will need the tire and or tube, a [easyazon_link identifier=”B010JFWDHS” locale=”US” tag=”strollers0e2-20″]tire pump[/easyazon_link], two flat edged tools, such as [easyazon_link identifier=”B01IVGX236″ locale=”US” tag=”strollers0e2-20″]flat-head screw drivers[/easyazon_link].

Here’s a video that shows how to replace tire and or inner tube on a Bob stroller

Watch: Nice video that shows how to replace the inner tube in a stroller wheel

How to switch out the inner tubes on a stroller, in this case a 12-inch inner tube that goes inside a 12 inch stroller wheel – that is the most common size. However, the same principles will apply to different sized air-filled stroller wheels/tires. In the video, he also talks about the various types of tubes (based on the values). When inserting the inner tube inside the wheel, make sure it is not twisted. Also make sure the inner tube is not pinched between the lip of the rim and the lip of the tire.

How to Replace the Inner Tube in a Jogging Stroller Wheel

Going out for a walk or a jog with your little one is a great activity. However, if the fear that your jogging stroller wheel could get punctured because of a nail or a thorn, is stopping you from venturing outdoors, this guide should help you out. Here’s how to replace the inner tube in a Jogging Stroller Wheel.

Now you really don’t have to fret, because it’s rather simple to change the inner tube of the stroller tyre, and once you do that yourself, you’ll be back out on the trails in no time.

Inner Tube Preventative Care

You really don’t have much control over what comes on the way, when you’re outdoors. However, once in a while, its better to check the stroller tyres for any thorns, nails or screws.

Just remove the tire from the stroller and if you find anything, remove the tyre from the rim.

Check if the thorn or nail broke of and is still lodged in the rubber. If yes, remove it and check the tube. In all likelihood, the sharp object would have pierced the tube and the tube will need to be replaced, or patched.

If the tube has passed a leak test, we recommend filling it with Slime, which will help your tired withstand small punctures while out on the trails.

Need Air Pump for the Stroller Tires

If you own a jogger stroller (such as the BOB Revolution), you would know that the tires need to be aired up on a regular basis, so that the strollers roll smoothly. The easier way to do that is to use a good air pump.

As you can see, armed with some knowledge and the right tools, replacing a tube in your jogger stroller is a simple task.
