Burley Child Trailer Maintenance

Here we take a look at how to properly maintain your Burley bike trailer.

• Check your trailer monthly to ensure safety.
• First, check for damage on the tow bar, hitch, frame tubing, flex connector and other hardware.
• Make sure the buckles still snaps nicely.
• Then check to make sure the bolts are tight.
• Inspect the tires and wheels for wear or cracks
• Make sure the wheels are still tracking straight
• Also, check the fabric for rips and abrasions.
• Take a closer look and ensure no hardware is missing. If something is missing, you will find all of the replacement parts on our website.
• The flex connector should be replaced every 3 to 5 years
• Hand wash the fabric with warm water and mild soap, do not use bleach or other solvents, hang to dry
• Be sure to store your trailer indoors, and make sure the wheels aren’t touching the windows
